Hi Everyone! Just a reminder that our first meet of the year will be happening this Saturday January 21st at Wayzata West Middle School. Everyone should have received an e-mail with more details as well as informing you of what time to arrive. Please do not be late!!

CONDITIONING ONLY SWIMMERS in 7th-12th GRADE: There will be NO practice on Saturday for you! Enjoy having a day off!

Practice tonight 1/12 is being held at Central Community Center/Park Spanish Immersion Pool – address is listed under the “Pool Locations” page if you need to look up direction! Building is about 3 blocks south of the SLP High School.

Just a reminder that as of December 1st, our winter session has started! If you have not yet registered your swimmer for December-February, please do so ASAP! Swimmers who have not been registered will not be allowed to swim after Saturday December 10th.

Please let us know if you have any questions! Also, for swimmers who will be competing at the meets in January and February, please be sure that you’ve decided on routine swimsuits and are making sure to have a solid black suit and white swim cap for the meets!!

Just one last reminder that our fall party will take place during our regularly scheduled practice times tomorrow! We are also having the parents meeting during practice as well. You should have gotten an e-mail with all the details! We’re looking forward to talking with all of you, having fun with the girls, and letting the swimmers show off what they’ve started to learn so far this season!

Hi Everyone! Just a reminder, there is NO practice tonight for our swimmers in 2nd-6th grade.

However, practice IS STILL BEING HELD FOR 7th-12t GRADERS!! We’d love to see anyone who doesn’t have Halloween plans – it should be a fun night!

When three of our MN Aquafins 7th-12th grade coaches (Laura Kelzer, Ali Palm, and Rachel Hoffart) were Junior High swimmers in Aquafins, we – along with a number of other Aquafins swimmers- attended synchro camp in Riverside, CA in 2000 and 2001. One of the swimmers who stayed with the same host family as us, Meghan Kinney, has gone on to participate in the Beijing Olympics and had been training for the upcoming 2012 London games when she was diagnosed with bone cancer and has had to have a total knee replacement as well as undergo chemotherapy. Hello everyone!!

Just a reminder to please bring to practice each day tennis shoes and work out clothes – we will be doing a dryland workout today rather than a water workout, so please come prepared. Proper clothing and shoes will not excuse you from the workout today. We recommend bringing a water bottle as well.

This coming Thursday is also a dryland day – no swimming – due to a swim meet being held at SLPHS that evening. Please come prepared with workout clothes, shoes, water bottle, and towel or yoga mat (for doing abs on the floor).

We are sorry to add to this crazy week of Aquafins but we just got a phone call that they have to close the pool at the Senior High this weekend to shock it (super clean it). So, there will be no practice this Saturday the 17th. Practice will return to normal on Monday.
